Option 1
[edit]- Article title
- Negrophilia
- Article Evaluation
- I have already reviewed this article in the previous assignment. its main problems are:
- - Opinionated prose without references
- - Few quality sources
- - Limited historical scope (due to limited sourcing)
- - Talk page editors call for more content
- - Start-class article
- Sources
- [1]
Option 2
[edit]- Article title
- Victor Séjour
- Article Evaluation
- Overall a well written albeit short S-Class article. Generally in need of enrichment:
- - Could use reorganization of sections
- - The biography section could better place the subject in the historical literary context of Louisiana
- - Could use more historical sources
- - Seems to have no talk threads which tells me that it was a single-editor project.
- Sources
- [2]
Option 3
[edit]- Article title
- Code Noir
- Article Evaluation
- A well written overview of generalized code noir laws that could be developed and added to. I would propose these possible additions:
- - Add translations of parts of the French wiki page that further develop the brief sections of the English page
- - Add historical context to Code Noir's expulsion of jews from all territories
- - Add sources from the French page as well as new sources
- - Develop legal antecedents and history of the Code
- - Develop historical territorial differences and amendments to the Code Noir
- Sources
- [3]
- [4]
Option 4
[edit]- Article title
- Council for the Development of French in Louisiana
- Article Evaluation
- A good article providing a basic overview of the CODOFIL organization. I would propose these additions:
- - Add historical/political context for the creation of a language-revival organization in LA
- - Discuss affiliate organizations like Tele-Louisiane and IciOnParleFrancais
- - Develop current projects like bilingual schools etc
- Sources
- [5]
- [6]
Option 5
[edit]- Article title
- [1] Revue nègre
- Article Evaluation
- Good overview article in French on the French wiki on the Revue nègre show. I would propose to translate the article into English and develop certain sections. I propose to:
- - Add more historical context and sources
- - Add section detailing cultural impact/legacy of the show
- Sources
